At my last address, I could get a fixed IP address, one of the machines under my desk had my server on, it hosted both of my old web sites, and a third I was hosting for the local sports club. They ran in virtual machines.

On regular occasions, the project here is throwing faulty work units to crunchers who are wasting their time. Recently, I've had few errors, others have many, but am still seeing validation errors - something is not right here. Another project, I can't remember which, had problems with Virtual Box 6 and asked that crunchers who wanted to continue their work should retain, or return to 5. I have set no new tasks again.

I've had 80+ Normal Completion task as well on the same machine today. So whatever the loop is, it is an "unusual", on my machine, BUT, you said you are losing a lot? I can't see your machine. I only have the project on this machine, the other I have here is pretty much identical, (same motherboard, processor, RAM, SSD, graphics, OS, VBox), so I doubt we'd learn anything by putting it on there as well. Both my machines here are connected to about ten projects, some being Virtual Box set ups, I have seen more errors and problems from the work units here than probably the rest of my projects this centuary combined.

They can see what tasks errored, on what machine, under which operating system etc. They probably test on various systems, but no project can try everything. My systems are connected to about a dozen projects at any one time. I do not crunch wcg, a poor moderating decision in their forum was the start of a small exodus from the project about a year ago. >>> If a very small number of errors · Valid (591) · Invalid (188) · Error (30) The bad figures here are probably more than the sum of all the other projects I have been connected too since 1999.

They have been failed by everyone that has had them and are obviously resends, but, the first send date was only a few days ago, they are not hang overs from weeks ago. No new tasks set AGAIN.

Certainly the error count I have on my results page here now is VASTLY larger than at any other project I have on here, in fact, it is probably larger than I have accumulated across all my projects in the last 20 years. I've had a few long runners as well, but not nearly as many.
