1) Message boards : News : Running again (Message 724) Posted 22 Jun 2021 by Dr Who Fan Post: How SLOW of a PC do you think will always complete with valid tasks? My Celeron J1900 is slow and my AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ is even slower yet compared to anything "modern" by today's standards. Neither have had much luck getting tasks to validate either. I chalk it up to crappy code design and/or crappy data. GIGO appears to be at play with this project. Agree that some kind of point compensation should of been established from the beginning for the trashed tasks. Communication from a project scientist and/or a project admin has been lacking since the start. Both have been noted many times over in the project forums.

One example: Workunit 3723106 Task successfully ran to completion for both of our PC's so........ I am guessing the ~~features~~ bugs still have not been worked out of this project.

Final damage count after about 24 hours of running most recent tasks: Valid (0) . Invalid (73) · Error (4). I have no problems at any other projects with invalids.

Seeing "vminfo Error: Unable to connect to system D-Bus (2/3): D-Bus not installed" in just about all my invalids. Apparently the tasks are broken when they are sent out.
8) Message boards : Number crunching : Validate error (Message 397) Posted 20 Aug 2019 by Dr Who Fan Post: So far Invalid (54) in last number of hours and growing on host 2368. Current running task nanoHUB_at_home 1.12 boinc2docker (vbox64_mt) is hammering the hard disk and swap file very hard. It also has consumed just about all the free RAM. BOINC claims task is "only" using 99.68 MB of SWAP and 1843.20 MB of PHYSICAL RAM. Obviously, that does NOT INCLUDE the VBOX WRAPPER RAM & SWAP usage/overhead which appear to consume about another 1 to 1.5 GB of RAM.
