Hi there. I have five machines running vbox-projects. This project is the only one that gives the following message for two of the machines: "Virtualbox (5.2.8) installed, CPU has hardware virtualization support but it is disabled". vbox version number is different on the other machine. In fact, I enabled virtualization in the BIOS on both machines. One of them is running Win7, one Debian. Machine id's are 1049 and 1060. I'd be happy about any hints that might help me with this. - - - - - - - - - - Greetings, Jens |

Sometimes the older versions of BOINC would not pick up virtualization if you did not have it enabled first in the BIOS before installing BOINC. There is a remedy for it. You can try this one from Cosmology. http://www.cosmologyathome.org/faq.php#i-enabled-vt-xamd-v-but-i-still-dont-receive-jobs However, I would uninstall BOINC and then install the latest version (7.14.2). That is easy enough in Windows; in Linux it is a bit involved. I have a procedure written up for Ubuntu if you want it. |

Hi. The cosmology method worked fine on my windows box. Will try it on my Linux box once I switch it on again (probably after my holiday). Thanks again! - - - - - - - - - - Greetings, Jens |
